jin 진 / shinji 신지 (they/them) is a queer korean american birth worker and writer living on coast salish lands. they tend to birthing people as they navigate back and forth across the horizons of birth/death/time. they grow garlic each year in their backyard, and know of spring by the smell of cottonwood sap. they were born with a durumi spirit’s wings wrapped around them—a protector, an elder, a red-crowned crane. jin is a virgo born in the year of the yang wood dog, and works with plants and the earth as a means of sitting at the feet of, and listening to the stories of, our earth’s most present teachers.
